Position Overview: We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Accounting/Bookkeeping Manager to lead our accounting team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in QuickBooks and a proven track record of managing financial operations efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and manage the general accounting functions, including, but not limited to: accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and taxes.
  • Ensure the timely and accurate preparation of financial statements, management reports, and forecasts.
  • Utilize QuickBooks for all accounting tasks, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in financial record-keeping.
  • Monitor and analyze accounting data, produce financial reports or statements, and recommend areas for financial improvement.
  • Maintain and enforce a documented system of accounting policies and procedures.
  • Coordinate and complete annual audits, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local requirements.
  • Provide leadership and support to the accounting team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional development.
  • Collaborate with other departments to support overall company goals and objectives.
  • Manage the budgeting process and assist with strategic planning.
  • Handle month-end and year-end close processes.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • CPA or CMA certification preferred.
  • Extensive experience with QuickBooks is a must.
  • Minimum of 5 years of accounting/finance experience, with at least 2 years in a management role.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and procedures.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
  • Excellent analytical skills with a focus on accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate and lead a team.
  • Experience with financial forecasting and budgeting.
